U.S. Forces Take On Major Role at Ethnic Border in Iraq

A string of checkpoints along the informal Kurdish boundary constitutes the most significant military mission by U.S. forces since they largely pulled back to their bases in June.

  1. This was an excellent analysis on what is really going on in Iraq. Most Americans are screaming to send the troops home, but it looks as if the troops understand that there is a battle between two neighboring people, the Pesh Mergas and the Iraqis and it is in the country's duty that they stay there to mitigate the issue and bring both groups to a unison that breathes more than patriotism. If they should leave the innocent villages that are being bombed for political scare would only get worse. Ironically enouth the American soldiers presence in Iraq is to create harmony.
