In Egypt, Religious Clashes Are Off the Record

During one of the most serious outbreaks of sectarian violence in years, Egypt declared that any talk of sectarian conflict amounted to sedition.

  1. Relatively this is an issue where the national security in Egypt is instigating the religious tensions between Muslims and Christians in their country. It seems as if there is a common respect between the different religions there. They work together. In this case the criminal is described as a "thug" who does not belong to any religious group. Once again this article points out that the issue lies within the frame work of the government, they are not identifying the criminals as people within their society, but instead are tying the weight of criminal activities to religion.By repecting the diverse religious institutions the government will assuage the animosity amongst the younger generation who believe that violence stems from religion, and will be able to focus on the psychological issues of people within there society. The question then to ask would be why would a man kill six people?
